Adding two new partners to their race program in the past month, Black Sheep Racing (BSR) is excited to be heading back to the race track this weekend. Traveling to the Utah Motorsports Campus in Grantsville, Utah, BSR will enter a pair of drivers in the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West by Yokohama program. As one of the top teams in the series, Black Sheep Racing will once again be looking to add to their results resume with race wins and podium results.
“We have been on the podium and won races in 2023 and want to continue down that path,” explained Business Development Manager Chris Stiffler. “When the checkered flag flies on Saturday, we will be aiming to be on the top step of the podium and celebrate not only with our team but our new partners Vezer Family Vineyard and Salt Pepper Oak.”
Piloting the Black Sheep Racing Porsche entries will be 2022 series champ Laura Ely and 2023 podium winner Kenton King.
“We performed very well at UMC in 2022, and despite leveling up a class for 2023, I am looking to improve on my results and keep our momentum going,” commented Ely. “I would like nothing more than to leave Utah with more wins for BSR!”
Kenton King continued, “This is the team to be on and it has been consistently shown with our results and relentless pursuit of winning. From the preparation to the coaching, Black Sheep Racing has the tools for success.”
Set to hit the track Friday for a jam-packed two-day event weekend, a pair of practice sessions will take place before qualifying late Friday afternoon. Saturday will be the home of two wheel-to-wheel races with one taking place in the morning and the other later in the afternoon.
